having summer fun.

Details of only SOME summer fun we're having....
Mel likes City Barbecue as much as Mark and I. Advice taken: On our last excursion to see our house, we realized the next time we'd be up there, our house would be sheetrocked! So we made do with tools on hand, and put our "signature" on her forever.
We traced Mel's hand over the nursery entrance.

And put this in the master bedroom above the outlet where we'll always know where it is. We should have done something cooler... but oh well.. it was still fun. Thank you Mamma Corleone for the excellent idea!

Here is a "buckeye." A wonderful chocolate and peanut butter treat... this one weighs 250 pounds, and costs $3,500. We saw this wonder at the Anthony Thomas Chocolate Factory Tour. Very interesting- and the whole place smelt like Heaven.

More park and swing fun. Look at those adorable legs!

Our little picnic... the boys were finishing off the fruit salad.

And Ka-Chow... our house has some siding, wiring, and cement in the basement and garage. They start sheet-rocking this week.

Snoooogle-oooos.

Powell festival. We could only stay for about 45 minutes... just long enough to lose Mel's hat, and get a balloon... but I LOVE festivals.

Us at a local free splash park. Mel is fearless.

Like I said: fearless.

Happy Father's Day Mark!!!

(Read the following to the tune of Spongebob singing "It's the best day eevveerrrrr!")
Mark is the best Dad EEVVVVVER! ( back up singers....best dad evvvveerrrrr (fade out..))
I'm serious. Since day 1 Mark has been so attentive and helpful. I don't think I changed a single diaper until Melvin was 11 days old. Whenever we go out, Mark carries Melvin. He feeds and dresses Mel in the morning so I can get ready for the day before he goes to work. He feeds him at dinner so I can eat first. He plays with Mel like I never can. He gets Mel laughing, for reals. Mel will laugh for me, but it's like a courtesy laugh- it's not the real deal. They rough house, they make messes, they growl at each other.... Mark reads to Mel every night, and brushes his now 5 teeth. :) They are buddies.
Sometimes Melvin is a bit of a rascal, and Mark thinks he may not be ready for another baby.... ;) but I know he is!!! ;0 (no, I'm NOT pregnant..... but I am getting a bit baby hungry- which Mark has referenced as me and my "baby hungryness."
So Mark Darling- I LOVE you! I am grateful you change the diaper genie- especially when it is over full. I am grateful you are cleaning up your Father's Day sshmorgisborg dinner of leftovers (aren't I awful?!) as I type away.
You are my husband, and I am glad. Thank you for sharing your Father's Day candy I bought you with me, and for making me live in a budget. You make life wonderful. I am sorry I bought you nose hair trimmers. :)

Week 4 - It's a house!

Not much change from week 3, plus week 3's pictures were taken on the cell phone's camera.

Week 2 - Foundation Finished
