More pictures

Happy Thanksgiving! We had a LOVELY time with our Bishop's family, and other friends from church. So great... and for the first time ever, I made Aunt Ruth's Frozen Goodness.... delicious. Ever keeping the tradition alive.

Looky looky, it's Melvin being a big boy! Thanksgiving day was the first day he ever sat in a shopping cart without his carrier. Look at his devilish grin. And those eyes... it's like he's plotting something.

Ka-chow. Melvin in his big boy car seat. yep. He's pretty much outgrown the carrier ( in length not weight obviously).

Here I am. Beautiful.

My boys all bundly. :) Melvin's face is pretty classic... as is Mark's.
I love life!

crapt-ing

well... this post is really just for me darling sister Meg. Hey ducky... here are the efforts... (only two out of three) of all my crapting. Of course, yours wouldn't be EXACTLY like either of these... but you get the general idea of bright vs. the other... which if you chose would have the same vinyl lettering as the bright one... bla bla bla. :) We'll talk. Peace. ugggg.... even if you were to choose the not-so-bright one, truly, it would be MUCH cuter than the disaster pictured. I would show a pic.... but I already gave it to my buddy. Shuks.

Boo!

As of yesterday, this is Melvin's new favorite game. It all started with a dirty diaper...( a common beginning for all things baby). After I changed his diaper I put him in his crib to air out while I put his laundry away, and tidied his room. In doing so, I would leave his sight, but in order to reassure him that I was still around, would walk to his crib every few moments, and to get his attention would say, "Boo!" He then, to my surprise, would laugh and laugh. :) We played this game for a LONG time... so I thought the novelty of it would have worn off... but happily, that evening when Mark came home, I told him about it, and we tried again. :) Mark's "Boo!" is a bit more intense than mine... but Mel still loved it. And, as always, when not being videoed, Mel laughed MUCH harder and for MUCH longer... but this clip is still cute.

Changing and unchanging...

Updates: Melvin just got over a nasty cold in which croup was involved... but despite his return to good health, he continues waking up four to five times a night.
On the upside of his installments, snuggling is now his favorite past time... and TIME in general. He demands to be snuggled ( like in this picture) ALWAYS. This is VERY fun for us, because up till now he hasn't been keen on it.
Continuing with the update... his skills are relatively unchanged... he can still only sit for a brief moment before toppling or bending directly in half... in which case he then sucks on his feet. He still wishes to crawl... but alas... it is not yet to be. He DOES still love to talk ( babababababammmmmaammam
daddddthththaaaatblelellelelele-spit-slobber-drool and he also enjoys gargling and making funny noises that I don't know how to duplicate by writing). He demands a diaper of his own to play with while I change his... and he LOVES his new toy our neighbors/friends Tami and Billy gave him... also pictured. AND ... he loves to be naked in his crib, and while naked, for me to sneak up on him. :) He laughed and laughed this morning as I snuck up on him time and again. :)
As for me... I am making soups, corn bread and things with cooked potatoes, carrots, and mushrooms... because it both suits me, and seems appropriate this time of year. Also, I am crafting things with wood and other materials... which gives me great pleasure. I am saving a lot of dough because of it, and I am pleased with my industrious endeavors...( along with a lot of help and support from my Mark.) I love you Mark!
Mark Mark Mark.... he is ever enjoying his job, and taking care of his wards... myself and Mel. He and I have, as of today, begun to frequent the nearby rec. center. :) Wahoo. I ran for an entire 10 minutes today, which may not seem much to any of you... and so it isn't. But still.... for one as sedate as myself, it was a rather promising beginning. I preen. :) Well, that is all for now... my housekeeping pleasures await me.

Halloweeeeeeeen!

Halloween was splendid! I am sorry that I'd already revealed Mel's costume... but oh well. He did get a lot of use out of it!

So, here are the pictures...

Picture #1: Mark and Mel leading the Halloween parade at our church Halloween activity.... it is blurry...

Picture # 2: Melvin as Dragon Thorn with his good buddy Barney. :) Dragons and Dinos... they are pretty much the same aren't they? Well.. you can't see in this picture, but Barney's tail was THE best. :) This picture was taken on Thursday... when Dublin was trick-or-treating... but the sadness of apartment living...
we didn't get any trickers. Boo.

Picture #3: Mark and Dragon, with our friends Kurt and Lion Jack. Thank
you Kurt and Marie for THE best Halloween! In this picture the Dragon and Lion were still relatively compliant with the costumes and pictures...BUT... by Picture #4, ( Where the mothers Britta and Marie were holding) the babies had HAD it. Aren't they
sweet??? I wish there was sound with these pictures! If there were, you would hear a chorus of
crying... Jack, then Mel, then Jack, and Jack and
Mel together. :) They were perfect.
I can't wait till next year!
